I arrived at the location for the engagement party.  I waited patiently for the bride-to-be and finally her mom came and told me that she was in the back room freshening up.  I asked her mom if I could take pictures of her while she was in the mirror and her mom thought it would be a great idea. I proceeded to the back room and met with the bride.  She looked very nice in her black satin pegged pants, black mock sweater, with Jessica Simpson platforms.

I proceeded to take shots of her in the mirror and a few head-to-toe shots.  I then went to take pictures of the cake and the beautifully decorated venue.  The music was playing, drinks were being served and the food was being taken in.  There was one thing that was missing….the groom-to-be!

I proceeded to take pictures of the bridesmaids, the bride-to-be with the bridesmaids, the groomsmen and the parents.  After a while, I was at a loss.

Unfortunately, the groom never showed up.  Still today I cannot comment on his whereabouts, because I don’t know but I still get chills when I think about how devastated the bride-to-be was.  Her mom approached me and said that she was going to make an announcement and I just couldn’t bear to see anymore.  A lady always knows when to leave therefore, I gave my regards and left the building..

I know some of you are wondering where are the pictures?  Well I ask that you put yourself in the the bride-to-be’s shoes….would you want pictures of that sad ending to be posted?

My heart goes out to the bride-to-be and I hope that the groom is ok.
